Vegan Dumplings Recipe
As we try to reduce the amount of animal products we use, one major one is meat…
We cannot claim to be vegan or vegetarian (although we have tried many, many times.
We do try and cook 90% of our food vegetarian/vegan and only eat meat on rare occasions, eating out, friends dinner, being hosted etc..
So, I will share with you one of the recipes make not eating meat fun!
What you will need:
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Tbsp Minced Ginger
1 Clove Minced Garlic
1 Tbsp Miso Paste
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar *Optional
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil *Optional
1 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
3 Cups Chopped Mushrooms
2 Cups Shredded Cabbage
2 Cups Shredded Carrot
1 Cup Water
In a pan heat up garlic and ginger and oil, add in Miso Paste, Soy Sauce, Rice Vinegar, Sesame Oil, Black Pepper and Water. Let Simmer for 5 minutes to develop flavours.
Add in Cabbage, Carrot and Mushroom let it go until fully cooked.
Once cooked transfer to a food processor and let cool for 15 minutes.
With your food processor either “Pulse” Or let it go for 10 seconds. Just to make the vegetables smaller and easier to work with.
There you have it!! Your Dumpling fillings are complete, now stuff dumplings and enjoy!
Personally, I love eating dumplings with Sriracha and Soy Sauce!
I confess, I do not make my own dumpling wrappers
